Gain transferrable skills and experience that will look great on your resume! All new hires must complete mandatory training. Tutors are required to complete College Reading & Learning Association (CRLA) certified tutor training before they begin working.

Use the applications below to apply for a tutor or office assistant position. We do most of our hiring toward the end of the semester for the upcoming semester.

Description:

  • Work with students individually or in groups
  • Help clarify course concepts and model good learning strategies
  • Manage session attendance

Requirements:

  • Earn a B or better in the course or higher-level course in the discipline
  • Have an overall GPA of 3.00 or above
  • Be recommended by an NCC instructor in the relevant discipline
  • Attend mandatory new tutor training
  • Be qualified to tutor College Algebra or higher (math tutors only)
  • Be approachable, courteous, and responsible
  • Have an ease in relating to people from different backgrounds and with different abilities

Description:

  • Greet visitors and make appointments
  • Manage visitor sign-ins
  • Run reports and monitor tutoring attendance
  • Work on special projects as assigned

Requirements:

  • Have a Federal Work Study award (preferred)
  • Be in good academic standing
  • Attend mandatory training
  • Be approachable, courteous, and responsible
  • Excellent technical, problem-solving, and customer service skills
  • Proactive with good leadership ability
