CT Boating/Personal Watercraft

About this Course

 

Join our comprehensive and up-to-date boating & PWC certification course, which brings you “Current” in the boating world! Completed in just one 8-hour day. Two 5-minute breaks and a 30-minute lunch break is provided during the course. In this class, you will learn all the necessary skills, including the latest requirements for towing skiers and tubers. Operational skills & required safety equipment on board of boats, sailboats, PWC’s (jet-skis), even kayak and canoe usage is covered. Upon successful completion, you will be eligible to obtain a Connecticut Certificate of Personal Watercraft Operation (CPWO) with Safe Waterski Endorsement. This certification allows you to operate any recreational vessel up to 65 feet in length, with certain age restrictions for younger operators.

If you don’t already have a free Connecticut conservation account, please create one before attending the class. You can create a free profile located here: https://ct.aspirafocus.com/internetsales. Make sure to print the page that includes your Conservation ID number and bring it with you on the day of the course. After we have recorded your score in the DEEP system, you can use your account to purchase and print your certificate. Be “Current” on the water and learn from the boating professionals!

Students must be 12+ years to register for class.  If under age 16, student needs to attend with a registered adult. 12 is the minimum age to operate a boat alone with proper certificate/license.



Prerequisites

Bring note taking material to class. Minor children should register with a registered parent or guardian.
