Institutional Initiatives

Committee for Diversity and Inclusion (CDI)

The college has an active Committee for Diversity and Inclusion, which includes student, faculty and staff members. The Committee was formed in order to be a vehicle for faculty and staff to promote inclusion initiatives.  CDI is dedicated to supporting the Mission of the College particularly as it pertains to meeting the higher educational needs of a community characterized by economic, social and cultural contrasts.  The Committee shall provide the leadership necessary to generate and facilitate constructive dialogue.  It shall gather and disseminate information, including curricular support, and provide activities for faculty, staff and students within our diverse NCC community.

Center for Multicultural Affairs (CMA)

NCC’s Center for Multicultural Affairs is located in E215. Through programming and campus conversations, the CMA enriches the educational experience, and fosters an appreciation for different races, religions, ages, gender identities or expressions, ethnic and cultural backgrounds, national origins, sexual preferences or orientations, and disabilities.
