Norwalk Community College is among the colleges featured in a new documentary, College Bound: A Look into Connecticut State Colleges and Universities (CSCU), to be shown on Connecticut Public Television (CPTV) on three dates in March, April and May.
The documentary is about the CSCU system and public higher education in Connecticut.
CSCU partnered with CPTV to produce the documentary which features CSCU students, high school students, guidance counselors, employers, professors and alumni sharing their personal stories and discussing the impact going to college has on Connecticut families.
The documentary also provides relevant insight into topics including the rising cost of college tuition, what college rankings really mean, the skills employers are looking for, and the difference between a public and private college.
Filmmakers visited NCC in January to meet nursing students and shoot footage of the college’s Hospital Simulation Unit. They also took aerial shots of the East and West campuses using a drone camera.
CPTV will broadcast the documentary on Monday, March 26 at 10 p.m.; Sunday, April 22 at 9:30 a.m.; and Saturday, May 19 at 9 a.m.
