NCC Professor and Students Win NASA CT Space Grant

The NASA CT Space Grant Consortium (CTSGC) has announced the award recipients for spring 2023.

Philip Gee, Professor of Physics at Norwalk Community College, received $1,850 to facilitate NCC Science Fair by funding the necessary supplements and student awards. The NCC Science Fair provides a platform for local high school students to present their STEM-related research and, aligned with the mission of CTSGC aims, to inspire them to pursue STEM careers.

Justin Gonzalez and Joseph Hawker, NCC engineering students, are two of five community college students who received the Community College Scholarship this semester. CTSGC aims to inspire the pursuit of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics careers, and providing these $1500 scholarships to community college students is one of many initiatives supported by this grant.
