NCC Joins Culture of Respect Cohort

Norwalk Community College has been accepted to be part of Cohort 3 of the Culture of Respect Collective. The Collective is a nonprofit organization that brings together institutions of higher education that are dedicated to ending campus sexual violence, and guides them through a rigorous process of self-assessment and targeted organizational change.

Culture of Respect works with diverse stakeholders to ensure institutions create policies and programs that support survivors, prevent sexual violence, and communicate that violence is unacceptable.

Each cohort relies on a public health framework, cross-campus collaboration, and peer-led learning to make meaningful programmatic and policy changes.

NCC has created a Campus Leadership Team consisting faculty, staff, security and community partners to assist with this two-year project.

Culture of Respect is an initiative of the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA) in Higher Education, the leading association for the advancement, health, and sustainability of the student affairs profession.
