NCC a site for Norwalk Film Festival on Sept. 28

The inaugural Norwalk Film Festival will take place on Saturday, September 28 at Norwalk Community College and four other venues throughout Norwalk. Screenings are free (unless otherwise noted) and the public is invited. The one-day festival runs from noon to 10:30 p.m. The closing night film and Standing Ovation Award will be held from 8 to 10:30 p.m. at NCC.

This one-day event features more than 50 films including Spike Lee’s “Do the Right Thing,” shorts, documentaries and films created by local filmmakers and NCC students. Some films are Connecticut premieres.

Film experts will hold an Industry Panel and Q & A from 2 to 2:45 p.m. at Norwalk Community College.

Beginning at noon, NCC will host more than 30 films in the David L. Levinson, Ph.D. Theater (formerly known as the PepsiCo Theater), and the Gen Re Forum. Both theaters are in the East Campus buildings and adjacent to each other. NCC is located at 188 Richards Avenue, Norwalk.
