Food Pantry Feast

Using ingredients from NCC’s food Pantry, Columbia Teaching College graduate student Carmine Ingenito prepared two tasty dishes in front of spectators in the East Campus atrium to show students how easy it can be to prepare quick, nutritious meals.

A master’s degree candidate in nutrition and exercise physiology, Ingenito provides his expertise as a dietetic intern at NCC. He encouraged students to visit The Pantry@NCC, which provides free produce and groceries for students of any income level.

The Pantry seeks to alleviate the barriers and challenges associated with food insecurity and hunger so that students can remain in school, and ultimately, earn their degrees. This event was sponsored by the Wellness Committee.
