Fairfield County’s Giving Day is March 1

March 1st is Fairfield County’s Giving Day! Please Support NCC’s Student Emergency Fund.

Please support our NCC students on March 1st by making a donation to the NCC Foundation anytime between 12 midnight and 11:59 p.m. at www.fcgives.org.  You can donate as little as $10 online. Each donation adds up, plus your gift can help us win additional cash prizes to support NCC’s Student Emergency Fund. Contributions by cash and check will be gratefully accepted between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. in the NCC Foundation office on the East Campus, Room E311.

The Student Emergency Fund helps students who encounter an unforeseen financial emergency or hardship event that would otherwise prevent them from continuing their education at NCC. This past year we have helped students pay rent, utility bills, medical bills, day care expenses, and more.

“I just wanted to express my gratitude for what the Student Emergency Fund did to help me. I know I’m homeless, but that doesn’t stop me from excelling in school or being a father for my daughter, and what you did this morning was a blessing to me. I am very grateful for all the help. I just wanted to say thank you very, very much.”

Please set a reminder to visit FCGives.org on March 1st and support NCC’s students in need.  Over 400 local non-profits will be competing to win $100,000 in cash prizes throughout the day, so please support us at whatever level you can and help us get into the winner’s circle.

For more information, please contact Terri Nackid, Director of Annual and Planned Giving at TNackid1@norwalk.edu. Thank you for joining me in supporting NCC’s students.
