February 28th is Fairfield County’s Giving Day! Please Support NCC’s Student Emergency Fund
Please support our NCC students on February 28th by making a donation to the NCC Foundation anytime between 12 midnight and 11:59 p.m. at fcgives.org.
You can donate as little as $10 online. Each donation adds up, plus your gift can help us win additional cash prizes to support NCC’s Student Emergency Fund. Contributions by cash and check will be gratefully accepted between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. in the NCC Foundation office on the East Campus, Room E311.
The Student Emergency Fund helps students who encounter an unforeseen financial emergency or hardship event that would otherwise prevent them from continuing their education at NCC. This past year we have helped pay rent, utility bills, medical bills, day care expenses, and more. Our goal is to raise $5,000 for this important resource that allows us to respond quickly to students in need of financial assistance to stay in school.
Here’s just one example of a student who benefited from the Student Emergency Fund and is ready to graduate in May:
“I was in a car accident and unable to work for a few months. As a result, I was unable to save up over the summer. Now, I am behind on my electric bill and worried that my power will be shut off. I would like to request assistance with paying that bill.”
Your support is literally keeping the lights on for NCC students.
Please set a reminder to visit FCGives.org on February 28th and support NCC’s students in need. And, tell your friends! You can forward this information or post on social media.
