As a run-up to its annual Career Expo on Feb. 26, the Center for Career Development took its job search resources around campus the week of February 12th via a rolling Career Cart and pop-up resume review and interview preparation events.
NCC student Mohamed Sylla, President of the Career Services Club, met with students in the cafeteria and other locations to share job search information from the Career Cart.
In addition, the Center set up temporary shop in the East Campus Atrium and West Campus Lobby, where experts helped students polish their resumes. It also sponsored a session helping students devise their own “elevator pitch,” a concise summary of their skills to be used in job interviews. Another event provided a professional stylist to help students choose dress-for-success interview attire.
