Alumnus Andre Aiken debuts his first book at NCC

Fitness expert Andre Aiken, a graduate of the NCC  Exercise Science degree program, has written a  personal improvement e-book titled Square One: A Beginner’s Guide to Being A Better You Than Yesterday (BoardHouse Publishing; February 2020).

Aiken will sign book posters  from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 12 in the lobby of the Health and Science Center in the West Campus building. This event is sponsored by the NCC Wellness Committee.

According to the publisher, “Square One does exactly as the title suggests and teaches what to do when starting from the beginning. Whether you are beginning a new gym routine, diet, career path or lifestyle, the greatest battle begins in the mind. … This quick guide will have readers standing in front of the mirror chanting ‘I will do’ instead of ‘I want to do’ for the rest of their lives.”

Aiken is a fitness trainer, physical therapy aid and group exercise instructor. After graduating from NCC, he earned a Bachelor’s degree in exercise science and nutrition from Southern Connecticut State University (SCSU). He also is an adjunct instructor at NCC and small business owner.

There is no admission charge and the public is invited.

This recently released e-book is available for purchase on Amazon.com.
