We offer several spaces on campus to suite your academic needs. These spaces offer campus computers as well as open table space for personal devices and small groups. We offer both walk-in friendly and appointment-based rooms.
Types of Computer Spaces
West Campus Computer Lab
Located on West Campus, in the Center for Information Technology (CIT). This 60-seat computer lab is open to all active CT State students on a first-come, first-service basis.
These computers are suited for general classroom assignments, and offer the full Microsoft Office suite of programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access. For more specialized software options, please see our Program Specific Spaces.

East Campus Library
Located on the 1st floor of East Campus, the Everett Baker Library is available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Up to 66 computers may be available for use.
These computers are suited for general classroom assignments, and offer the full Microsoft Office suite of programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access. For more specialized software options, please see our Program Specific Spaces.

Study Spaces
Several locations on campus offer small group or private study spaces with dedicated computers while also offering space to bring your own device. (BYOD) How to connect your personal device to campus Wi-Fi.
These private rooms are also perfect for your LRON or Online classes.
These locations must be reserved ahead of time.

Program Specific Spaces
Students in the following programs can request special access to their lab spaces, depending on availability.
Please speak with your instructor to ensure that your name is on the list and visit the nearest Security desk for access.

Additional Options
Library Laptop and Hotspot Loans
If you are an active CT State student and in need of a computer or hotspot for educational purposes, the library may be able to help. Equipment is loaned on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Bring your own device (BYOD)
Why look for a specific room when you can work anywhere on campus. Bring your own device or loaned library laptop and use any of our numerous open public spaces. Seating is also available throughout many hallways and corridors. Headphones recommended. Use our Wi-Fi, available to all active students.
- Academic use of the computers takes priority over casual use (email, web browsing, etc.)
- All phones should be silenced. Take phone conversations outside.
- Settings on the computers should not be changed.
- Downloading software or the use of file sharing software to the computers is not allowed.
- Students must have USB flash drives or save work to OneDrive which is included in your student account. Any student files saved to the computer will be lost upon reboot of the computer.
