Construction of Annual Goose Feather Labyrinth
Sat, Oct 2 @ 10:00 am - 7:00 pm
The Interfaith Council of Norwalk Community College invites everyone to participate in the construction of the 11th Annual Goose Feather Labyrinth on Saturday, October 2, from 10:00am – 7:00pm. (Rain dates October 3, then October 16). The labyrinth will be constructed on the East Campus Hill between the North parking lot and Richards Avenue.
The title of this year’s labyrinth is “Into the Light” and will be in the shape of a star. The labyrinth is meant to help bring us out of the darkness and into the light socially and personally. The labyrinth will be made out of approximately 1,000 Canada goose feathers that were naturally molted and will be held in the ground simply by the compression of the soil. The labyrinth will remain in the ground until next year, making it available to walk at any time.
Please contact Prof. Renae Edge at firstname.lastname@example.org for information about the construction, labyrinths in general, and if interested in having a tour for a class or community group.
