Apply online at my.CTstate.edu. Once logged in, click on ‘Apply for Graduation’ on the student self-service card.

In order to help us better plan for the ceremony, provide students and families/guests with accommodations, and celebrate your achievements, please take some time to fill out this important questionnaire at forms.office.com/r/a6bEvjSdPZ. 

Frequently Asked Questions

Graduation check-in will begin at 10:00am. Please arrive promptly with your cap and gown (allow plenty of time for traffic). After you check-in at the Amphitheater, you will be guided to where you will check in and line up alphabetically with your program. Ceremony begins promptly at 11:00am. Graduating students are expected to stay for the entire ceremony.

Graduates may pick up their cap, gown, and tickets at the “Grad Fair” (Thursday, May 2, 11am-2pm, in the East Campus parking lot).

Thereafter, tickets, caps, and gowns will be available at the Everett I.L. Baker Library (open Monday to Thursday, 8am-8pm; Friday, 8am-3:30pm; and Saturday, 10am-3:30pm) as well as the Bookstore.

All students will receive 10 tickets. Tickets are required for all guests, including small children. When your guests arrive, they should proceed directly to the main entrance for their seating. All bags are subject to search.

The following items are not allowed inside the Amphitheater: food, beverages, f lowers, confetti, helium balloons, gifts or packages, and strollers.

Free parking, including handicapped accessible parking will be available at the Amphitheater.

Graduates will be handed diploma covers on stage at the Commencement ceremony. Actual diplomas will be mailed to May graduates at the end of July, and to August graduates at the end of October.

A photographer will take your picture as you receive your diploma cover. An order form and proofs will be mailed to you by the photographer so that you can place your order directly with the studio. Guests are not permitted in the aisles to take photographs during the ceremony.

  • Nursing – Friday, May 10 from 6pm to 8pm in Norwalk City Hall
  • Respiratory Care – Monday, May 13 from 10am to 11am in H103
  • Exercise Science – Monday, May 13 from 11am to 12pm in H007
  • Physical Therapist Assistant – Thursday, May 16 from 9am to 10am in Hartford Healthcare Amphitheatre

DECEMBER DIPLOMAS

Diplomas for our December graduates have been shipped out. If students do not receive theirs by the end of April please reach out directly to the Dean of Students Office at nk-deanofstudents@norwalk.edu
