Black Minds Matter

Tue, Jun 22 @ 9:15 am - 11:30 am

Please join the Committee for Diversity and Inclusion (CDI) for Dr. J. Luke Wood’s Black Minds Matter virtual presentation on Tuesday, June 22nd from 9:15AM-11:30AM. All staff, faculty, and students are welcome to attend.

Black Minds Matter seeks to raise the national consciousness about issues facing Black boys and men in education. This presentation will draw parallels between the ways that Black people (particularly Black boys and men) are under-valued and over-criminalized in society and the ways that they are schooled. Tangible solutions for promoting the learning, development, and success of Black males are offered. The 90 minute discussion will follow.

Please follow the link to RSVP. The meeting link will be sent to you after you reply. RSVP here: https://forms.office.com/r/ur5CESGDqN

Attendees will receive a copy of one of Dr. Wood’s books (while supply lasts).
