A Path to Nuclear Disarmament: Discussion & Film

NCC presents “A Path to Nuclear Disarmament” featuring physicist Richard Gerwin, pioneer in nuclear weapons, personal computing technology and science policy.

The event will take place on Wednesday, September 26, from 7 to 9:50 pm, in the Gen Re Forum. It includes a presentation by Gerwin, and excerpts of the film “The Man Who Saved the World” (2014) by filmmaker Peter Anthony. Sponsored by NCC Professors Chris Japely and Paul Cantor, the event is free and open to the public.

About Richard Gerwin:
Physicist Richard Gerwin designed the first hydrogen bomb and later became a vocal disarmament advocate. He is the recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom from President Barack Obama (2016), the National Medal of Science (2002), and La Grande Medaille De l’Academie des Sciences.
