Native Gardening for Your Home

About this Course

Native landscaping is not just for the backyard. Natives can be used successfully in more traditional residential settings. We’ll look at specimen trees and shrubs and newly developed smaller and neater native dwarf cultivars developed for foundation plantings and other spaces closer to the house. These plants can allow you to use limited space to support a diversity of wildlife with functional if smaller plants and to confidently use natives in more formal areas. Winter seed sowing using native perennials will be done in class to take home.
