Jewelry Making Level II

About this Course

Take your wire wrapping skills to the next level! This course will build on the foundational skills that were learned in the Level 1-Essential Techniques for Jewelry Making class. You will learn to make shapes and wire components, incorporating intermediate wire wrapping techniques using free form and intricate wire weaving designs, and create 3-4 projects including pendants/statement pieces, rings, bracelets, and earrings.

Students should bring to class the following tools and materials: Pliers (Round-nose pliers, Chain nose/Needle-nose pliers, Flat-nose pliers, Wire cutters, Nylon-jaw pliers, Bent-nose pliers), Artistic Copper or Brass Round Wires (16-gauge, 18-gauge OR 20-gauge, 22-gauge, and 26-gauge OR 28-gauge) and stones or beads (drilled stones and cabochons). These materials can be purchased from any craft store.

Prerequisite: understanding of working with pliers and multiple wires is recommended for this course.
