About this Course
|Students will learn the sanitation and food safety standards that are mandatory in the foodservice industry through a Black Board online setting. Food handling, safe storing, cooking, serving and holding practices, quality and safety control principles, and FDA rules and regulations are covered extensively during the course of the semester. The last class of the semester is reserved for taking the National Restaurant Association’s Foodservice Manager Servsafe certification exam. Upon passing the test, students will receive a Foodservice Manager Servsafe certificate that is valid for five years and qualifies them to supervise sanitation and safety activities in a foodservice setting.
A current Servsafe book with an online exam voucher is extra and required.
