About this Course

Much of the world is either using an iPhone or a Google phone. The companies that provide these phones – and the most-used apps on them – know where we go, who we are with, what we are buying, when we visit the bathroom and who we’re going to vote for (among other things). Can we really trust that they have our best interests at heart?  In this class, we’ll show you how the most intimate details of your life are being leaked to companies, who are selling them to anyone who is willing to buy.  We’ll also lead you through the process of flashing a privacy-based Open Source Operating System onto your cell phone – and fill it with apps that have the very same functionality of your current apps BUT DON’T SHARE YOUR DATA WITH ANYONE. You’ll be surprised just how easy it is to make the jump!

Please visit the following sites to see what types of cell phones will be needed for this class: •https://grapheneos.org/faq#supported-devices•https://calyxos.org/docs/guide/device-support/
