Jillmon Selvarajan, Graphic Design, 2009

In 2005, I came from India to the United States with the goal of becoming a graphic designer, which has been my long–time career ambition. Ever since I was a child, I’ve been interested in drawing, designing, and creating my own things. I was lucky to come to Norwalk four years ago, and find out about Norwalk Community College, where I began my higher education.

With the help of my teachers, John Alvord, Ken Lalli, and Joe Fucigna, I was able to learn the basics of design, develop my skills, and familiarize myself with the programs and technology. My future plan is to transfer to a four–year university and receive a Bachelor’s Degree.
