I’ve loved all forms of art since I was a little girl. I remember when I was little I used draw and write short stories for my mom. I loved doing all kinds of arts and crafts and always had a passion for creating things from scratch. When I was in middle school I remember we had Photoshop in one of our art classrooms and I was fascinated at the things you could do on it. I taught myself to use Photoshop when I was a teenager and would make all kinds of graphics for websites that were always bursting with color and visual interest. I have always been a technologically savvy person and I love visual arts, so I thought why not combine my passion for both?

When I enrolled at Norwalk Community College I was a little nervous, I had been out of school for a couple of years and I didn't know what to expect. I knew I wanted to follow the Graphic Design program so I went for it and declared my major when I enrolled. As I started taking art classes I grew to have an even deeper appreciation for the arts. I found myself to have a never ending thirst for knowledge and besides taking the required courses for the program, I took a couple on the side to quench some of that thirst. I believe my education here has been an invaluable asset to my life and my future. I’m so very grateful to the staff and faculty at NCC, I really can't recall an instance when I felt like I couldn't turn to someone for help.

The Graphic Design program helped me become serious about following a career. I landed a job as a Jr. Graphic Designer which I can gladly say has been a product of my education from NCC. Many opportunities have opened for me that I never thought possible. I want to give a special thanks to John Alvord, Ken Lalli, and Joe Fucigna for their immense support and guidance during my years at NCC. It truly has been a pleasure.
