Nonprofit Fundraising
About this Course
Fundraising is a vital tool for nonprofits not only in generating necessary funds but also in expanding their reach and building community support. It is more than just collecting money; it is about engaging with people and sharing the nonprofit’s mission, thereby growing its network. Students will have an opportunity to gain experience about fundraising, as well as philanthropy more broadly. This course will examine a wide range of ways to raise funds from government, individuals, foundations, and corporations. The importance of stewardship, program evaluation, and the role of the board and staff in developing effective fundraising strategies will be covered. This class will follow a hybrid format (remote and in-person), lectures, in-class projects and more.
Class will meet on campus except for 11/12 (LRON)
